Bronze statue of Sir Robert Peel (1788–1850) stands proudly opposite the gatehouse at Gawsworth Hall. Originally part of a trio of Liberal icons acquired by collector Raymond Richards in 1969, the statue commemorates Peel’s significant contributions as Prime Minister, particularly his role in modern policing and economic reforms. The craftsmanship is impressive, with the 304cm-high bronze figure mounted on a sturdy granite pedestal.
