Nancy Wood is a lovely, free to visit woodland, perfect for a peaceful short walk. The circular route features a small bridge crossing Ben Brook, which gently meanders through the woodland. There are four picnic tables, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy nature.

Historically, this area was part of Gawsworth, known as 'The Warren,' where rabbits, hares, and pheasants were bred for the Hall table. Originally meadowland, it was once part of Gawsworth Hall Park, stretching up to the crossroads at the Macclesfield to Congleton road.
