Free car park and an ideal starting point for exploring the beautiful Goyt Valley and surrounding areas. From here, you can easily access walks to iconic spots like the Cat and Fiddle, Goytsclough Quarry, and the atmospheric ruins of Errwood Hall. The Goyt Valley itself offers stunning scenery.
The area gets its name from the old stone road bridge spanning the River Goyt, about 150 meters down the valley. This "Derbyshire Bridge" historically marked the boundary between Derbyshire and Cheshire until 1936.
A key point to note for visitors is that overnight stays and camping are strictly prohibited. Also, on my visit, the toilet block was unfortunately closed with an "out of order" sign.
